Recipe for Red-Letter Day

We had the awesome privilege of attending Parker and Luke's Open House on Monday night.

Luke was supposed to have had his first baseball game of the season that night and was plumb ticked when he realized it had been canceled due to Open House. He was confused, unbelieving and then he got mad!! He wanted to know who the president of the youth association was and he wanted his phone number so he could call him and try to persuade him to let them play!! When he couldn't get that information, he just broke down and cried like a baby!! So disappointed!!

I was looking back through all the special things we brought home from that night and read (instead of skimmed) an interesting assignment that Parker had done. It is titled Recipe for Red-Letter Day and this is how it reads: (as Parker wrote it)

Ingrediends:
10 gallons of winning (prizes)
3 splashes playful kitten
12 cups of morning coffe
1 splash of rain
6 gallons of outside time
15 pounds of CiCi's pizza

2. Heat oven to 350.
3. Pour in 10 gallons of winning prizes easly.
4. Add 3 splashes of playful kitten and mix.
5. Dump in 12 cups of coffe and add creamer.
6. Sprinkle in some rain.
7. Pour in 6 gallons of outside time.

Wow those poor kittens! LOL
That's great. I can't wait til Peyton starts writing and comes up with crazy stuff like that!
Parker will enjoy looking back on that when he's older!
